ELIN BASANDER ANDRÉ (former BASANDER LUNDIN) (1975) Elin Basander André graduated as an industrial
designer from Denmark’s Designskole in 2002. Now based in Halmstad. She has previously lived in
France, where she studied painting, sculpture and life drawing. Elin Basander André came to the
attention of the wider design community after the Miss Flatchair design for young children scooped two
national design awards. Miss Flatchair adds a playful educational aspect to the experience of
design and encourages adults and children to work together to create something of value and purpose. Education 1997-2002 Danish School of Design, Copenhagen, Denmark.
